In 2023, Andaria put forward its application to benefit from the CYBER+ALT Grant Scheme offered by MITA and co-funded by the European Union. This initiative seeks to assist SMEs through non-repayable grants to part-finance investment that will enhance their overall level of security and resilience in order to be in a better position to handle cyber threats and be proactive to meet future challenges.
Security has always been a top priority for Andaria and it is for this reason that we looked at leveraging currently available grant-based assistance to enhance our security stack by implementing solutions covering a wide range of controls including:
- Data Loss Prevention Monitoring and Enforcement
- Off-site Automated Data Backup Solutions
- Email Security and Monitoring Mechanisms
- Permissions Management and Auditing
All of the above individual solutions assist the institution in improving our Data Protection and Security capabilities and following implementation have already begun to bear fruit.
We will continue to develop our internal and customer-facing information security controls and offerings to ensure that we are effectively protecting all of our employees and customers from all known threats and risks associated with information security to be able to provide the best possible service while safeguarding everyone’s data and the services we provide.
Our investment in cybersecurity was supported through the CYBER+ALT Grant Scheme managed by the MITA-NCC together with the Ministry for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects and Tech.mt, co-funded through national funds and the Digital Europe Programme.
